Interested in supporting quality new music and visual art creation, get kids hooked on classical music, and celebrate the magic of story-telling and the diversity of folk tales from around the world, during graduate studies at the Vienna Conservatory VanderHart co-founded Talespin – Musical Tales for Big and Small.

The non-profit association reworks fairy tales from Iceland to Cambodia, then commissions new music and illustrations for the ensemble of violin, piano and narrator. Initially a fixture in story-telling and classical music festivals as a family concert, in the past few years they have begun recording and publishing their musical fairy tales as books with CD/.mp3 files.
